Boston Moto EX 66 Race Report Week 2

Week #2 in the Bag and we had super nice weather and temps that really were ideal for racing. So, my first and only race of Saturday is the Dash and the grid was pretty full at 20 riders. Got a poor jump on the flag and left a second too late but checked up in 1 just fine. Had a few guys check out a few laps in and then was following two others that I was able to get at the end and ended up 14th. I did run real close to my old pace witch was good and felt great be one new rubber and having a real good hot practice helped out.


Sunday rolls in same great weather possibly a bit warmer and practice was pretty good. Bugs were unreal and I had to clean my helmet after each ride. I do two races on Sunday and my first race went real tuff due to my power strip being off on the tire warmers. Minor mistake but I should have check and will fix that for good. Its funny how minor things that can be over looked but yet make a huge difference. Going out on cold tires was going to be real fun and a challenge. I took it easy and right off on the warm up I had it sliding up 4 after 6 and dancing all around. Race starts I take it a bit easy a few laps in struggle with it sliding around and finish in 17th. Happy I did bin it, but yet got points and finished some what strong.

Next race was race seven and I got a real good hole shot fell in mid pack got a few faster guy go around and was fighting a few slides but rode a pretty good race. Mid way to end the pack filtered out and had one rider behind me and just rode to a 14th.

It was a Great weekend and I have to thank all my sponsors and friends, family and most of all my pit mates that helped me this weekend. I had a Blast and can’t wait to race in the classic next race weekend.

Ballsy to go out there with ice cold tires, I would have just said F it and skipped the race.

Back into the 19's so you're ready to chase the pack and drop your times some more, you're good to go buddy!

Definitely ballsy on the cold tires but sounds good otherwise. Sounds like an overall successful wknd. It was nice meeting a few new people and seeing some old faces too. Had fun up there with all you guys, thanks!
