Saturday
MWGP 4th.
Normal crappy start, pick off some guys. get behind Jim after a couple laps and spent the last 5 or so laps trying to get close enough to get by him but just couldn't seem to do it. wtf who lit the fire under Jim's ass? 27s and a couple 26s in those laps with an official PB of 1:26.057. Almost had Jim at the line but he held it. Good job Jim, it was fun.
Sunday
I fucking HATE rain so I was contemplating just going home. Since I'd already paid for my races I didn't wanna waste the money and since a set of Michelin Rains was only $360 I bought them. get them mounted up at lunch so no practice in the wet.
GTO 2nd
I won this last time so I was on pole. 2 board I go to put it in gear and have a brain fart and push down into second, shit. get it up into first just in time for the 1 board but can't really get ready. Well no big deal I suck at starts anyway and there's only the 3 of us going so no one behind me. Go into T1 last. pick off the second place guy out of 10 and try to chase the first place guy down and was starting to pull the gap back a little. a few laps in Radu goes flying by on the straight then another guy and Jim all in the GTU. I kept them sorta close for a few laps when the red flag came out just after halfway. Thank god cause I was not enjoying that race at all.
best of a 1:43.523, haha AWFUL.
MWSB 1st
Figured I paid so I'll just go out and putt around and hope it's not as much suck as the last race. it was raining much harder now. on Pole again. flag flies and I got my best start ever, not that its great. go into 1 in third (of 5 cause 4 others DNS) behind Jim. Passed him somewhere on lap 2, between 2-3 I think but I forget. Catch up to first later in the lap and take him on the exit of 10. Never look back and take the win. best of 1:43.312, again awful but for some reason being in first most of the race made it fun![]()

Way to go Brett. I'm pretty confident we all learned a metric asston about racing in the rain yesterday.

Woo!! Congrats on your first place finish! Awesome stuff!
Dont sweat the lap times. Rain riding always sucks badly, not only did you stay upright but you took a podium in the process. Nice work!

I don't really care about the lap times in the rain. I knew they'd suck once I decided to buy the rain tires. felt like I had the bike completely upright the whole time.
I think the only thing I learned was that I could actually get off the bike a little further.
but hey the bike came home without anymore scratches so I'm happy.
