Saturday: Rain, rain, rain. Fuck that, no racing for me.
Sunday:
Track was still wet so I didn't want to risk a crash on DOTs in practice.
Race#1 GTL (20 min endurance)
Got a great start and went into T1 in first. Lap 2, Jim (Traise) passes me on the inside of T1 like a kamakazi. He stretches away through T4 and then I reel him in through the back section. I come through T8 on his back wheel and the red flag comes out at the tree house. One of the middleweights ate shit pretty hard in T10. Back to the grid we go.
Restart, I nail the whole shot again. Made a few mistakes and Jim goes by again. Got a couple of riders inbetween us and he's gone. On the third or fourth lap, someone's exhaust falls off their bike. Now there's a can and midpipe sitting on the race line going into T11. Oh joy! I start to get tired around mid race and a few more guys go by me.
Finish in 5th out of about 15 riders. And set a new personal best lap time of 1:25.7!!!!! (almost 2 sec. better than my previous PB) I was super stoked!
Race #11 LWSS
Nail the whole shot again and go into T1 in first. I'm nice and relaxed and the bike feels good. I ride the wheels off of the thing for 8 laps, the whole while wondering how close Jim and Keith from RSP Racing are behind me. I refused to look. In the second half of the race, the RPS guys are lined up on the wall giving signals. I figure they're signaling their own guys, who must be right behind me, so I go even harder. I pour on the juice right to the checkered flag and then turn around to look where Jim is. Jim is no where to be seen. Second place hasn't even come out of T12 yet! I win the race completely uncontested. Then I realize that the RSP guys were trying to tell me that I had a huge lead.
Ran a bunch of 1:25 laps and set ANOTHER new PB lap of 1:24.7!!!!!
What a way to end an amazing season! One last win and completely exceeding my end-of-season lap time goal.

Congrats. Nice meeting and racing against you Sunday.
You definitely pulled away from Jim and I in the LWSS race.

Did Traci show up and show you her jugs on the way into T3 as I suggested?
I'm guessing not, but congrats anyway! Wish I'd been there to see you, I'm so proud of you![]()

Nice job Noel. That's a pretty serious drop in time during your last race of the year. Great way to close out the season!
