Humbling! Those guys are fast. Set up camp Thursday night with Bob Poetzsch #14 and Ed Murphy as support. Did the practice Friday. The very first lap I see three riders down in the decreasing radius turn. Wow. What a friggin corner. Followed by another leftie that seems to go forever. Saturday comes and all I have is qualifying. Come up last. Oh boy. Sunday my USGPRU race is 4th. Got a nice start. Actually following Bob for three turns. Then dropping back, back some more, then settled in for second to last....Got a CCS LWGP race soon after and was running about six or possibly 7th and I hadn't got to a corner where I could outbrake the bigger bikes yet when the motor lost power and was beggining seizure. Made it back to the pits for a DNF.....It was nice seeing friends from Loudon, taking pictures, seeing some nice bikes and meeting up with the racers from USGPRU. They are a great bunch of people from all over. Hopefully I learned some things to help at Loudon. See ya all soon, Mike
Glad you got some track time with the USGPRU racers. Sucks that the motor seized up on you...

I had left the tape on the radiator. It did not seize but lost power. It is top end time anyhow.
I could not figure it out. It seemed like everyway was wrong.
i was parked near t1 and we were watching all the small bikes amazed how late they were braking compared to the bigger ones. we were shaking our heads as the front runners would pop up and hit the brakes between 3&2 markers.
Reported from NJMP today that they had 735 enties representing nearly all fifty states.
Hey Mike, that was me on the ECK bike that waved to ya in the pits. Sorry I didn't have a chance to stop by and say hi.
That long right into the decreasing radius, into the long left is an AWESOME part of the track! So technical and tough to really get right, but MAN is there a ton of grip there. I had the advantage of doing a bunch of track days down there last year so I had it pretty well figured out and knew what to expect, but yeah, if you haven't had much time on that track, it's definitely the toughest place to get figured out.
