I'm going to be buying a new air compressor at HF in the near future...anyone have one of those "X% off a single item" coupons they don't need/won't use? I get their emails, but haven't seen one recently. No real rush...just figured I'd ask since it could save a bit of coin.
There should be some coming out soon. By next week at the latest. Black Friday sales should be strong this year.
Jesus Christ, I get a couple a day! But they usually expire within a day or two and they usually have my name on them. If you wanna give one a shot, shoot me your email.
EDIT: A 25% coupon about an hour ago. As expected, it expires tomorrow and has my name on it. Let me know...
Did you grit your teeth and try to look like Clint Fuckin' Eastwood?
Or did you lisp it all hangfisted like a fuckin' flower?
I recently sent a 30% off coupon to a friend with my name on it. He was able to buy a tool chest with it. If I get another I'll pass it along.
Which air compressor?
What's the difference between a bolt and a screw?
First you screw, then you bolt.
Probably this one: https://www.harborfreight.com/26-gal...sor-57336.html
I'm also considering this one (https://www.harborfreight.com/27-gal...sor-56403.html), which has almost identical specs, but is slightly larger for the same price. The reason I'm leaning towards the other one is because this one is significantly louder (78 vs 69 dBA).
Like most of (probably), I rarely need a compressor anymore since most of my power tools are electric. 95% of what I use my compressor for is inflating tires, which I could use almost anything for. The other 5% is for my sandblast/vapor blast cabinet, which uses a ton of air, and honestly, both of these options will probably be a little anemic for that anyway, I just don't want to step up to 240v and/or something huge I rarely use.
I've got a Kobalt Quiet Tech 26 gallon from Lowes that I like very much. It can't continuously run my die grinders but is great for tire inflating or rotating tires with an air impact.
It is not silent but if you stepped outside my garage 10 feet you probably wouldn't even know it was running.
Edit: it seems the base price on my compressor has gone up in the past few years, I got mine on Black Friday for $280.

$340 now, still not bad,
I was looking at a Quincy stationary 7.5 hp 240v a couple years ago (I want to be able to sandblast continuously) they were under $2k, now $3500 https://www.northerntool.com/product...hotbar-compare

I have the older central pneumatic 29 gallon vertical compressor that I’d sell. Used it 2x a year for tire swaps
