WANTED: Bike For 1st Timer

So yeah, daughter #2 ponied up and got her M/C license last year. She's currently in the market for a newer/newish Vulcan 650 or Rebel 500. Those were the bikes she took the course on, those are the bikes she feels comfortable with. While changing her 22-year old mind is damn near impossible, she MAY be open to a Bandit 400/600 or even an SV650.

As for right now though, she's very much interested in the previously mentioned Vulcan 650 & Rebel 500. These are the two that are far & above tops on her list.

Anyone have one or the other kicking around?

Whelp, you probably already saw this: 2006 Rebel 250

Obviously it's not what she's REALLY lookin for but she could nab that up just to bop around on until she finds what she really wants and sell it for what she paid, maybe even more!

I did comment in that thread and I'll run it by her. But she's VERY comfortable on the 500 & the Vulcan 650. I think this would be a step back for her and she'd likely rather not deal with picking it up only to realize she doesn't like it and then having to sell it before she gets what she's really looking for.

Can drop the price a little or… sell both for a package

Get comfortable on the 250 and then transition into the monster for a more long term ownership

And will have an impulse off season purchase Tuono 1000 for sale if she’s ready that I can’t keep anymore either.

I appreciate the heads-up. I think the Monster would be a bit much for her, posture-wise. She's pretty set on a "cruiser". Something she can also ride home from school, on the highway for a short burst if needed. While the Monster could definitely handle that, it doesn't really check off any of the boxes for her. But, I'll run it by her just the same.

I'm pretty much relegated to just checking out the bikes once she finds ones she likes. She's pretty much set on what she wants, and it's tough to change her mind. I mean, she went out a couple years ago at the height of the 'Rona bullshit and bought the 2016 Tacoma TRD Sport w/ manual transmission because she finally found EXACTLY what she was looking for. A good deal at that point in time, but still WAY overpriced due to the 'Rona market. It'll be tough to sway her away from something that not only she expressly wants but something she KNOWS she can handle and be comfortable with.

lol. Normally I'd be 100% on board with that but it just isn't a fit right now. The Monster's just too close in purpose & spirit to her Speed Triple and she's already considering selling that one. If it were a Cafe, Cruiser or med sized DS/ADV bike she'd be way more interested.
