I figured with all the holiday ruckus someone's going to be getting a keg... Im looking for 2 half barrel kegs to use for brewing. If anyone has one or two I'll pay you back your deposit for the keg and throw a couple bottles of home brew your way as well
"Could you elaborate on that a bit? Just telling me not to run a specific tire, and giving me no true logical explanation is like telling me I'm going to get my dick sucked tonight, and not by whom."
I have one half barrel in a tree stump in my backyard... It has been outside for a while would u still be interested? Also have a quarter barrel that has been outside for like a year. Don't know if that matters

I manage a restaurant in Lowell. We buy half kegs. I have one empty you can pick up tomorrow for $30. And I should have another ready soon.
From Anheiseur-Busch I hope... those things are worth more that $30, especially if you're taking them from small craft breweries...
You sure you are looking for half barrels?
Or are you looking for quarter barrels with the flip top?

the half barrels... should be 15 gallon kegs if memory serves me correctly. Im going to cut the top off of both kegs and drill a hole toward the bottom for a valve. These are going to be brew kettles for a 3 tier all grain setup im working on in my garage

AH, gotcha. Sorry, most people call a half barrel a full barrel, and a 1/4 barrel pony keg a half barrel.

yea iv been trying to figure out which one i needed and everyone i talked with called it something different, end result will be a nice 3 or 1 tier system for doing 10 gallon batches in my garage

Just so you know the actual kegs cost the brewerys about $100 ea. or more. They are the property of the brewery...thus the deposit.
My suggestion is to call a brewery near you and offer to buy one from them. They usually have some that have some sort of issue that makes them not fit for filling anymore. They might even give you one or two if you ask.

yea iv been calling random places to see if they have any kegs with a bad valve or leaks or pretty much anything as the lid is coming off anyways

Thus why I advise you use Bud kegs...
