If you don't know what that is, then you obviously don't have one.

Long shot I know, but finding one new or used within New England has been difficult. I'd rather not buy one without touching it first.

Would prefer the Honey Burst, Three Tone Sunburst or Cherry Sunburst.

Playing, playing out and recording. We have 6 originals down, more on the way. Played my towns open mic at the town hall a couple months back. They oddly went nuts for us. Asked us to return. Then I spawned, so it's been harder to get together with the guys to get new material down.

I'm marginally better than when I was a rockfish out of water and trying to swim in bluegrass at your place. Scales? What are scales? Lol.

You open to other 5 string options in this similar style? I'll keep my eyes and ears open.

I have an offer in for a Yamaha TRBX505 right now, see if the guy bites.

I'm sold on a 5 string. We've been playing a bunch of stuff where I have to go drop D from one song to the next, so it just makes sense to have the 5 string.

The Ibanez SR series are nice and all, but their low B sucks and the string spacing is way too tight. 16.5mm is too small. I have big hands, don't need a narrow neck. Fender series are alright, but their low B blows again. Just floppy.

Playing a Line-6 Variax 700 4-string right now, it's solid. But it's not mine and I've been "borrowing" it for over a year now. Time to move on.

The reasoning for the Lakland 55-02 is the nice string spacing and the 35" scale to tighten up the low B. Plus their active/passive electronic setup is pretty solid.

Picking up that Yamaha this weekend. Should buy me some time until I find the deal of the century on the Lakland I want. Still have the yearning for the 55-02, so if one comes along, let me know.
