Need a nice limb/log

So wifey wants this crafty project done for her classroom. I'm looking for a nice hardwood limb/log around 5" in diameter, 3' long, pretty straight. It could be a small tree trunk or limb, type doesn't matter but needs to be presentable bark. I have a couple limbs here but they have lichens, not what she wants. I know some of you guys are into collecting wood for winter and thought you might come across something like this. Willing to pay for the right specimen.

It doesn't matter really. I'm thinking less coarse bark would be better, wood grain, color, etc doesn't matter. Thanks.

What Clayton said. We have 20+ acres for you to choose from, mostly hardwood. Probably looking for something a bit more local though.

I’ve probably got 100 different types of trees scattered over 150 acres, red cedar, hemlock, black birch, sugar maple, shag bark hickory... to name a few. You’re welcomed to it, pick out what you want and I’ll cut it however you want.

Well I didn’t remember there being much of any lichen on the bark, but it appears there is.

No, I've managed to dodge the project so far. But I'm sure the question will be coming up again soon and I'll be contacting some of the gracious members here to take a nice fall walk in the woods.
