Posting for a friend. Red or black preferably. Must be ready to ride as he and his wife are beginners. As close to $2000 and VT as possible. Model year isn't really an issue but newer is better.

In my opinion, if they could find a 1st gen EX250 that would be the way to go. Parts are EVERYWHERE and CHEAP. Shouldn't be difficult to find an '07 with low mileage for $2k

We actually just found a black 07 for $2200 on Craigslist listed this morning. Still looking for options in case that one doesn't pan out.

FYI - EX 250 go FAST ! and retain their value. I am sure I am not telling you something you don't know. The Craigslists ones seem to go ASAP.
