Looking to buy a 06 636 ECU. Mine is overheating and causing the bike to die, so after doing some research the fix is to put an 06 ECU in and some heat tape. Anyone have one?
Thanks!

This is going to sound weird... pull your bulbs and check the wattage

So years ago my bike was randomly bucking and shutting off, so violently and unexpected at times I almost got hi-sided in traffic or on the highway (very scary sh!t). Went through every forum, no fi light, stator testing, rectifier testing, bad pc3... everything under the sun. Finally the light bulb (pun intended) went off in my head. What was the last thing I remember changing... the light bulbs. I had popped in super cool kid "hyper white" bulbs, so I swapped them and the problem immediately disappeared! Trying to learn.. I looked at both sets of bulbs and the only difference was the wattage, manual calls for 35w.
So my understanding was that the headlights were drawing to much from the stator to keep them on that they would drain the system causing electrical surges and ect. Which makes sense because it was more prodminet at lower rpms...
I've tried to explain it to people on forums about this but internet igorence and 50000 threads saying "omg ecu swap worked" made it a lost cause. Also a lot of guys were running hot body and Yoshi systems that ran directly under the which deffinetly fried a few back then
