Was curious if anyone was in business or have capabilities to move a 12x16 shed about 15 miles. Would need someone with access to one of those low trailers.
Thanks.

Can you dismantle it? I got a pickup.
I have a 6x10 trailer but disassembling is kinda a last resort. Not sure I can find the time to take apart and put back together.
I would consider paying someone to take apart in Paxton and deliver to oxford and reassemble but it wouldn't be worth it unless they are unemployed. I wouldn't be able to pay more than probably $500. To do it.

I forget the exact number but I think wider than 8.5 feet is considered oversized and requires special permitting. Since your smallest dimension is 12 feet, you are going to need a pro to move it if you cant disassemble it.

Auto Wrecker flat bed should move it no problem, for a tow fee

Nope. Already tried. Shed is 12 ft high, plus sliding it on 4x4's, hight of flat bed and most trailers brings this too high to move on a public way. lowest wires in MA are 14 ft. I think the guy said they are not allowed to move anything over 13'6'.
I think my only options are to find someone who knows someone, friend of a friend who has a lowboy trailer and is willing to help me out OR take it apart option. Either way I can't pay more than $500.
The risk you are asking someone to take by trailering this without a permit over 15 miles of public roads does not equate to $500.
At a minimum, I would require you to post a cash deposit equal to all possible fines I might incur in addition to the $500 dollars. If we get away with it, you get the deposit back.
Where did you did you get I was asking for someone to do this without permit? Again, I came here to see if someone who had "capabilities" (low trailer or alternative) would be willing to do it for said amount. I know in the past we have all helped each other on here when we can. If not, no big deal and understandable.
I would not want to put anyone in a position to do anything unsafely or to jeopardize anything.
Because there's an earlier post referencing a permit to which you replied that the "pro" who would presumably get the correct permit wanted too much money.
I'm sorry if I misinterpreted, but less money and "helping out" are often euphemisms for cutting corners, a practice which I generally agree with. In this case, I'm simply positing that a 15 mile public road haul might be more exposure than a non-pro might want.
Good luck with this, but if the overall purchase plus relocation coat is less than building on your site, the. You have room in your budget.
I wish I had more room in budget. I have $500. left after purchase to get this to me. If I can't then I don't get it. If I build it would be half this size for my budget. Thanks anyhow.
fold down the roof halfs then tow job

You'll never use all that shed!
So you bought this shed before you knew the moving costs? As stated its not a height issues so much as a width problem. $1,000 to move that is cheap IMO. I had a guy priced me $800 just to move a shed across my hard nm across town.

It is a height issue. Not width. Most shed movers have wide load permit.
Yes but you cant afford a pro which would mean you are not hiring a pro. I would make a solid bet no one will take this job for $500 that is a pro. My wife uncle is a pro and moves houses, sheds etc and he is as cheap as they get and he wouldn't do it for that little money. There is too much risk.

couldn't you just go to home depot or hertz and rent a truck and a flat trailer and roll it up on rollers?...or maybe just buy a cheap flat trailer on craigslist?...or maybe call a shed building company in your area and see if they will just move it for you?
Whatever you decide to do is your choice. I can donate a couple days of hands come September if it helps.
Get a couple guys to lift it.

Call a company that sets up/leases temp office trailers...Williams Scotsman, Triumph, Mod-space, etc. Most of their units are 12' wide and they always have active oversized load permits. The oversized load permit is pretty generic, easy and cheap to get as long as you don't have to go on the interstates. Once on the interstate, and over a certain width (thought it was 112", 102" is max without a permit), you'll need an escort and tag vehicle
