Used car, boat or bike/ATV battery

Looking for a cheap (ideally free) battery from a car or boat. Doesn't need to be in great shape; I'm going to use it to power some small accessories on my jon boat and it will be hooked up to a solar trickle charger. I could probably get away with a motorcycle battery.

Have tons of misc bike parts if you want to trade.

I have an optima red top from my corvette. It's probably only 5-6 years old but has been disconnected for years. I'm not sure if it will hold a charge since its been so long but you're welcome to it if you'd like. Its located in Saugus.

You need a boat battery or one for a trolling motor.... you will kill a car battery and they don't hold a good charge. The up and down charge kills them. We learned the hard way...

I actually have a 3-4 year old battery that I pulled outta my bike earlier this year. Turns out it was working just fine and it was actually my R/R wiring that was the problem. I'd gladly give it away for free.

deep cycling battery

All it'll be used for is a small automatic bilge pump (which will only kick on after really heavy rain - realistically never) and a radio used for a few hours a week. Was going to throw it in a battery box with a solar charger (they charge at like 1/16 - 1/8 amp). You think that'll be an issue?

To run that stuff, it will work..I wouldnt rely on it for a trolling motor though

No trolling motor. If/when I get one I'll put it on a real deep cycle battery.
