Sub<$2000 Track Bike

Hi all,
I'm in the market for a cheap track bike. Ideally I would like to race but not kill myself, so I'm looking for a track prepped SV or 300. I've done numerous track days the last few years on my Triumph Thruxton, now I want to get racing.

I scour Craigslist daily, but thought I'd post here in case anyone had something they were looking to unload. I'm in Central MA. Thanks.

So to sum it up:
Bike that will pass Race Tech
SV 650 or smaller
Under $2k

Doesn't have to be pretty, just functional.

I will have a 2000 SV650 that is race/track for sale well within your price range as soon as I can get it out of storage and give it some pre-season love.

Not sure if you're interested, but I have a 900SS Ducati (bigger, but runs in LW classes) that's all there shy of some track plastics.

If you want a cheap track bike I have 2 race prepped EX 500 & will sell one for $500 a set of tires will last you a whole season on these bikes. Cheap parts & easy to work on if interested let me know

Yeah, because the newer gens are so smooth and powerful. LOL. You can't put lipstick on a SV.

Lipstick? Pfft Love mine even in the morning with bedhead and smeared mascara, after my beer goggle have defogged
