Sv650 motor. For a kid. Hopefully cheapishhhh haha

Im in the middle of building an SV for a 400 kid. He is fast (19s) but being 18 and in collage now doesn't have the money to move up. I know the SV is kind of a dinosaur now but I wanted to build him something and let him ride it and see how he does in LW. I already have a chassis and a front end but the big items..... Motor, tank, and rear shock I'm still looking for. Im doing this at no charge to him. I just want to keep a fast kid moving forward. If anyone has any gen sv motor lying around and can let it go at a cheaper price it would help this project move forward. Also if anyone has a tank or rear shock for a cheaper price I'm also looking for those haha. Thanks again to anyone that can help out.

Did you talk with Billy? I bet he has a few of everything you are looking for.

…you may have to go in his van for the good parts. I also think Wimble has an older SV motor I gave him back in ‘21 that was relatively healthy minus a bottom end full of flywheel magnet shrapnel.

I'll hit up wimble and see what he might have. Never met Billy personally but next round I'll stop by his van hahaha

The other hoarder to check with would be Doug Cooke if he's still watching the forum?
