Well,

I sold my 1999 Katana 600 today, and I'm tentatively looking for a replacement.

I saw a $1500 thread earlier, but not too many suggestions... so if anyone has or knows of something around there, let me know!

I had this thing for fireblades but never got a hold of one.. it still might be too much bike. But, probably looking for a 600cc sport bike again, just maybe newer and more powerful than my can-o-tuna. Fuel injection is a plus (as I found out how hard it was to start it right at 32F) But.. not necessary. Hopefully in good condition so I can spend more time modding it. (Which was my fear of spending too much on the Katana).

Mmm probably not quite what I want.. don't like naked bikes too much, wonder how the aerodynamics are on the mass pike

Also, looks like power output is similar to my Katana, so it might not be enough change for me to be happy with.

Not quite! Maybe two katana's it's an 1100 v-twin shaft drive. This thing is awesome and you won't see 200 of them at any bike night.

Thanks Degsy! Yeah sold it, pretty much broke even with everything I put into it already.. so.. I think I'm ready for something else.

FAST GSXR750 I'll have to do more reading on the guzzi since I don't know much.

I just read it's 550 lbs and 80 hp, so that's where to me the katana was a little less weight and a little more hp, but I don't know a thing about vtwins versus the 4 strokes..

2004 GSXR600 Clean Title... 5,XXX miles. $3000. Have lot's of aftermarket stuff that we can work into the deal if your interested. Two fairing pieces are in for paint. Bike will be all black. And yes... its fuel injected.

Upping my budget to $2000 to 2500..... I am pretty close to the $3K by finagling with the wife and listing a ton of stuff up on craigslist.. but sounds like the GSXR deal has started a price war that I can't compete with..
