Dirt cheap sleds are not like bikes they are a huge PIA......and getting stuck deep in the woods on a sled isnt fun at all. I have seen many left for Dead on the trails. But throw a range up and what you goals are and I am sure there are a few out there for you. I sold my 98 Ski doo Formula III for 1K good reliable sled that you could do 2-300miles on any day just as a marker..
Scotty G had one for sale on here worth a Look.....

Friend: man riding this really hurts my balls
Me: Well you're not supposed to sit on your balls!
stay away from cheap! they're money pits!!!
Cheap sleds are fine if you're just going to ride it around the yard and if it dies it's just a short walk back to the house. If you're going to be miles out in the middle of nowhere then cheap sleds aren't going to cut it. And older cheap sleds are going to beat the crap out of you if the going gets rough. So it totally depends on what your plan is going to be with the said cheap sled.
Didn't ScottyG have a nice machine for cheap listed here earlier? I'd dig to see if that's still available.
Define cheap
My idea of a cheap sled is under 7k
If you want reliable $3500 will get you a nice cheap sled

You want dirt cheap in good condition, I think this qualifies.
