    WTB - Ninja 250 or CBR 250

Hi, I'm looking for a Ninja 250 or CBR 250 for my first bike. I will be obtaining my license the second weekend in June (fingers crossed) and looking around $1500 for a budget. If anyone has any leads on one I'd appreciate it.

So you want a ninja 250. The cbr hasnt been out long enough for them to be cheap. You'd have to double your budget to get one. Should be easy to get an ex250 for that coin.

I've got a 2008 Buell Blast that's looking to be ridden. Don't mind the haters: great bike to get started on, especially if you're on the smallish size physically-speaking. Give a shout if interested.

Don't be intimidated cause its got 500cc its slower than a ninja 250 so it's a good starter bike.

Re: WTB - Ninja 250 or CBR 250

    I have a 2002 Ninja 250.

Low miles, can't remember exactly how much. Bought it for my girlfriend a few years ago, she took her MSF and it really didn't take.. then I got a convertible, so motorcycling turned back to be a solo thing for me - which isn't necessarily a bad thing for me!

It probably needs some minor work since it's been sitting (in a garage) for the last ... year or two? Battery, fluids could probably use a change, etc.

There were some minor issues that came with the bike when I bought it - Bent levers. Rust on one of the clip-ons, small dent in the tank. I have replacement levers for it, as well as clip-ons. I never got around to replacing them, as it was my girlfriend's first bike and I figured since it didn't affect the rideability, I'd wait a few months before replacing, in case she had an "oops."

I read your intro thread... if your boyfriend is handy and/or you get some help from this forum -- I've been able to get chains replaced, bikes trailered, from folks I've known only b/c of this forum -- You can have yourself a really nice starter bike for cheap.

Let me know if you're interested! If you don't bite, maybe I'll post it to NESR and try to get rid of it.

If he's selling this for $1500 its a steal. 2008+ is the new body style. Nice looking bikes.
