Just listed my bike for sale and the next day I get a nail in the tire. Looking for an inexpensive used rear tire size 160/60/17 in decent condition to replace it. Located in the Boston Area. Thanks.
Why not just repair the tire correctly?
Who told you that? Do they sell tires?
How would you safely repair a tire?
Take tire off rim and use patch and glue from inside.
Temporary plug would be mushroom type only.
Better yet ask Degsy.

Plugging is fine.
I've got a couple of pirelli race takeoffs I could sell ya dirt cheap (20 bucks?)if you'd rather do that though.

Plug is fine. Run it. I am pretty sure I have a dunlop race take off that was barely used if you prefer dunlop.

I have plugged many tires and never had one fail.
I just use the plug kit from autozone.
