Hi All! I'll be taking the IronVentures class this weekend (6/25 - 6/26) to get my motorcycle license. I've been riding for about 2 years on my two scooters (one 50cc Ruckus and a GY6-swapped 150cc Ruckus), but I decided it's finally time to get a larger bike.
So, I'm looking for a good beginner bike around the Boston area. A 70's cafe racer, street fighter, or maybe a nice naked bike. I'm partial to an all-black or white w/ black paint scheme. Something light, nimble, easy to learn on... and something I won't stress over if I lay it down. Looking to spend around 2 - 3k.
Any leads / suggestions? Thanks all!

Thats gotta be one of the coolest scooter's I have seen
Are you rockd that used to have an M3?
I would be willing to sell my fighter. ITs not 100 percent street legal but i have been riding it daily. its tires and blinkers away from an inspection sticker.
Here are some pictures of the build.

There is a LOT of time and $$ in the bike, if your interested let me know i would have to think on a price.
I am also selling montana, the cb750 in the pics with the fighter. You could build somtnigh cool out of that with Landrics help im sure and taht would be cheap and has just ben 100 percent mechanicly overhauled.
I'll take $2000 on a quick sale. I have my eye on something else I want and need the money. 74 CB550, Needs a couple small things to be done.

It's all water under the bridge, and we do enter the next round-robin. Am I wrong?
Awesome's cafe racer is sweet, and a steal at that price. It's very nicely done.

Saw this yesterday on eBay and was strangely attracted to it... I'm not too knowledgeable on cafe racers, but can someone tell me their thoughts on it?

Needs a fuel petcock, the wiring is all there, some just has to be matched up and connected, rear brake and shifter linkage to use the 929 rearsets that are on it, or a set of original rearsets and a pad put on for the seat. The starter turns and spark is good, carbs are restored, engine had 1200 miles on it when it went in.

less is more = my mentality!
As naked as possible, all blacked out... that's my style. I like cafe racers for their old school flair, but I also like streetfighters because of the way the rear end floats over the tire. Hard decision, but can you send me some ideas or pics of similar bikes?
It would be so nice to have a cafe racer in my collection of bikes...I would need to sell some stuff though but I am very interested to see the outcome if you have Landrics create one.
btw. I have a coworker that is looking for one too so consider this thread subscribed...
Don't worry. Be Happy.
