Currently, I'm using the pad-type rear stand on my track bike and it's a bit of a PITA.
I want to use spools, problem is one of the tabs is broken off of the swingarm.
I was going to have one welded on, but it looks like I can pick up a swingarm from Fleabay for $25-50.
Since I would have to take the swingarm off to have a new tab welded on, and you can't get anything welded by somebody for <$25 or so, I'm saying why not just buy a one?
So I've turned here to see if somebody has one, preferably in the Boston area.
I also have a small question about whether I should get one with or without the chain guard on it. It's a small detail but I don't really like the chain grease getting flung up under the seat, but so few track bikes seem to have them that I wonder if people remove them intentionally. It wouldn't seem to get in the way of a quick tire change so is there something I'm missing?
Ductard, sorry for butting in on your WTB thread but I'm also interested to hear someone's response to you question about the chainguard. I have a track only SV650 and I kept the chainguard on as well. I thought it was a good idea for the obvious reasons: lube fling off and if the chain snaps. Lol. Should I remove mine?

see if wiggitywack has one. the back end of his old racebike should be fine cause it was the front that smacked the wall.
chain is going right through the chain guard if it snaps without even slowing down.

Give Justin at Adrenaline Cycles a call, he has my old bike. I do have a set of wheels for that bike with EBC XC rotors if you are interested. I'm in Medford so we're close.

What's the difference between a bolt and a screw?
First you screw, then you bolt.
