Looking for a Zuma if the price is in my range. The ruckus seems too high. Drove a TaoTao made in china and was pretty fast for a 49cc, but dont think it would last.

The Chinese bikes aren't bad. Had a few quads and the only thing I didn't like was the gears were not hardened. The scooters use a CVT trans right? As long as you completely tear the bike down, old or new, and put it back together so no nut or bolt is left untouched, you should be good. China manufacturers tend to skip quality control to get you a deal.

Although most chinese scooters I see on CL have been owned by 13-16 year-olds who have a duct tape budget and the mechanical experience of paris hilton

They are selling NEW taotao's for 649.00. I can get a 2004 zuma for 1100. what to do what to do....Im hoping i can get a deal before winter on a zuma.
