- Dynojet Stage 1 jet kit
- Factory Pro Ignition Advancer
- down one on front Sprocket
- up 2 on the rear Sprocket
now that its in ill say it did make a huge difference in mid range power. anyone that is looking for more pull out of corners and has an older ignition set up like mine was i would deffinatly suggest spending the 60$ for this tiny addon.

the advancer is a little bracket that changes how many degree's before top dead center the ignition triggers, which means it fires sooner so the explosion is in the cylinder longer burning more fuel and producing more torque/power. widens out your powerband and adds more of an arc to your hp line. equates to MUCH better 3-7k rpm power. its pretty insane how much difference it made.
if you have a EFI bike the same thing is accomplished through a ignition module. like something from dynatec.
mi thinking that this winter i might do and EFI conversion. im talking to a few people that are doing it now to see if its worth it.

did you do it yourself? Whats the install process like?

on my katana its pretty simple its just a bolt on replacement. remove a side cover (no coweling) from the engine an impact wrench to remove the bolt holding the old one in place and put the new one on. not hard at all. i didnt do it myself but thats what i was told it took. i know they had my coweling all on when they did it. the website says something like 10 minutes to replace it.

Maybe I should install mine that's been sitting in a box for 3 years.

i'm ordering one as well...
care to share the shipping technique?
edit: nevermind - DK doesn't carry the ZX600J version, but i managed to find it elsewhere for $59 shipped.

I used an expired code that had % off and free shipping. The code said it was expired, but kept the free shipping.
The code I used was EM0807A
Hope it work for you.
Mike, I'll let you know when mine comes in. Maybe we can make an afternoon of it and go for a spin.
BTW, which bike is your advancer for, the ZX?
Yup... it's for the 7R.

Hope you guys get the same benefit out of it i did. Im really enjoying the increased power coming out of turns.

Only issue is sometimes it will cause some detonation, and you will need to run a higher octane fuel. Some applicatons will slow your top end down (speed). Some just work OK, others don't...Trial and error.
I can adjust my timing with the "box", and it didn't really make much of a difference advancing the timing.
You can get even better performance by dropping the piston to head clearance, and fooling with chamber volume, but for 50 bucks, why not try it. Just listen for detonation!

i tend to stick with the highest octane i can get when i stop as a rule. which means my octane is probably aroun 92 on average lol

You should be fine...although older engines will have some carbon build up on the pistons, and can cause hot spots to initiate detonation.
Note also, if you do run a higher octane, and the engine doesn't need it, it will generate carbon deposits because it won't burn the fuel efficiently anyway. Higer octane doesn't equate to more horsepower.
