We just finished a really cool job on a car for a Pats player and thought we would share some pictures.
The car is a 2007 Lincoln navigator. The customer wanted an IPAD mount put into the vehicle. It had to be a Custom mount to allow the ipad to slide in and out so the vehicle's original audio/visual controls could still be used. The IPAD also had to charge while in the vehicle and integrate fully with the vehicle's audio system. As well as that, all the interior wood grain paneling was to be painted pearl white to match the exterior of the vehicle.
We delivered the car tonight to Gillette stadium and the customer is thrilled with how it turned out.
Before pics
the ipad is not mounted anywhere near the heating vents.. they exit above the pod in the factory location and will in no way affect the iPad.. the ipad is completely removable to reveal the factory head unit behind it.. it was done this way so if he wants to take the iPad with him, his wife can still use the vehicle and have the factory units navigation and sound.. the iPad plays through the factory stereo through the aux input..

Rich, if you program a destination into the car's nav system and then program the same destination into google maps on the ipad, will they argue with each other about the best route to take?![]()

Pretty dank setup.
Got me thinking tho......maybe you guys could install something like that on Jim's next bike so he knows exactly which way the track goes.
Just a thought.
