Suomy sizing in comparison

I've been in the market for a 2nd helmet for a bit. A friend has a Suomy Hodgson that he wore only a few times, like new, etc.... I currently wear an Arai Quat. Sm.

Has anyone tried on both brands (Arai and Suomy)? Is a Sm. Suomy going to be synonymous with a Sm. Arai -- I know this isn't true for the HJC and Shoei? Any insight would be helpful, I think.

Yes, I wear smalls in both brands. The suomy has firmer padding and feels a lot different to the arai, but they both work for me.

I tried on an older model Arai awhile back in large and my noggin' couldn't fit into it. I do fit a Suomy Spec-1R though.
