I would take that in second if I knew it was going to be there when I got there. I'm too far away to take that chance though.

Shoot him a message and tell him you've got a truck/trailer, don't need help loading, won't waste his time, etc...that's how I usually scoop the good deals

She ended up buying it and promptly had it stolen before she could even ride it.

I just don't trust people enough. I've been burned too many times. I'm probably a good two hours away once I get my trailer. If it was like 30minutes I would risk it.

Pulling the carbs on that Gen 250 is a PIA. Kurt knows about that with his Ninjette.

Sweet bike and yes parts are all over. Same bike from like ‘86 to ‘05.

Muffler is in front of the rear caliper/line so that’s probably the root cause for removal.

I’d scoop it if I didn’t have 7 bikes in my place and one in my girlfriends living room id be getting this. There is intact a max value for N+1

I have found this out as well. I had 7 bikes and now 6 seems to be the sweet spot

I got good at carb R&R (3x), runs great now. Parts are n.p., OEM, ebay, used, etc.

Not entirely sure of the details. She lives in Derry NH and I helped her take a look at it a few months ago at this guy's place down in CT. Turns out he used to club race back in the day. He even had memorabilia on his walls from LRRS & posters of older racers that I know. We spent wayyyy too much time hanging out talking with him. Good guy and he took INCREDIBLE care for this old EX250... I feel almost as bad for him that his old bike got stolen (not that he knows about that) as I do for the girl that bought it.

I was going to grab one today but they are sold out everywhere. Nj is closest dealer that has my second choice color of black and teal. The grey one I really want is down in the Carolinas with a healthy mark up. I don't know if these are that popular they sell out or if they just don't make many of them.
I can get a ninja 400 immediately though.

This just gives me time to reflect on my life's choices.

And that’s where I made my mistake. I mistook low supply for high demand. I thought the Scrambler would be easy to sell cuz when I was looking there weren’t many available…. But probably just because of supply.

Yeah. I don't think they are immensely popular bikes so it's probably just a shipping or supply issue, not a demand one. These bikes have been out for a few years now and the mt03 owners forum has like 80 posts lol. It's hard to find info about them really.

Lol. I kinda like the teal one in pics but I haven't seen it in person. If it was closer I would go check it out just due to curiosity.
It's a loaner bike, there should be some shame associated with riding it right?
