years back i think we rode a bunch of the loop(s) they use for the enduro and turkey runs. i may be wrong, or it's not exact route, but it was awesome! we happened to tag into a group that was riding the event, we were just there for a reg ride and didn't realize an event was happening. they used a bunch of stuff you're not supposed to be on normally and the arrowing was icing.

Rode the NETRA King Philip Enduro yesterday... Well, a third of it at least.
Had an absolute blast. I could've continued on, but chickened out at a convenient bail-out spot after having a really BAD section followed by a 15 minute rest and a REALLY GOOD section through some tough shit! Chose to end the day on a high rather than wrap myself around yet another tree.
Peter Kates was there, along with a few of my other usual riding buddies Steve, Anthony & Devon. Unfortunately their grid row started a good 10-15 minutes in front of mine so I did most of my riding solo.
Honestly, the course wasn't as difficult as I was expecting. I mean it wasn't easy by any stretch, but from what I had heard, I was expecting it to be brutal. There were DEFINITELY some tough sections but I was pretty proud of the way I was able to handle them. Sure I had my offs and got stuck a bunch but I got through everything on my own without needing a helping hand or taking any chicken routes.

Met a guy last month at the Hoot Owl Turkey run... Bumped into him again yesterday. He recognized me, came over & said hello, made some chit-chat & we wished each other luck... Bumped into him again at the timing tent, I asked him how he did and he replied "I uh, I think I won!".... And he did! Apparently he's one of the top guys in the North East, has at least one championship under his belt. Seems like a nice guy!
Bill, I won't be able to make Rocktoberfast next Sunday but you should def hit it up. Hopefully we can ride together some more later in the year.

And his real name is Derek Edward, but he goes by Deck Ed. So if you see him, or think you see him, or see anyone who could be him, or if you just see anyone at all even if it's not him, just go "HEY! DECK ED!"

Well, I flaked on King Philip last week, but signed up for Rocktoberfast this weekend. Looking forward to it.
Holy moley, I'm wiped. Ever feel like you were put in a paint shaker for 5 hours?
Results aren't posted yet, and I didn't wait around or check before I left, but felt pretty good overall.
Bike was a little sleepy a few times. Couple of nasty climbs that were the talk at the end of the day.
