Are any of you guys planning on attending the Jack Frost day at Oxford dam on November 3rd? Or the Toys for Tots Turkey Run on November 17? As far as I know, street plates are not required for either one. I hope to attend both.

Met up with Jay at MX207, unfortunately my day was cut short by a dried up, tired, 20 year old petcock that gave me the finger when I gassed up. Seems being dry since June was the final nail in it's coffin. Yamaha will be getting $35 from me shortly for a new one.
I did risk being a human torch for one short session to test the SmartCarb out. Oh SHIT, whole new bike. Like, throttle is scary now!The response is instant, precise, and did I mention instant? No hesitation, no 'cleaning it's throat' it's just on the moment you decide to start twisting. Do they make even HEAVIER flywheels for the WR?
Nice, dude. Nice. Never heard of SmartCarb. Googled. Looks piiiiiiiimp.
Sorry to hear bout your pet rooster though.

Fuck yeah that was awesome. Good times today Josh and Corey. I never expected I'd be flying that far that fast and that high in the air on two wheels. Gotta fix my gearing and grow my sack for next time, goal being to not roll any jumps on the track.

Even if I'm mourning the loss of my poultry, I'm just around the corner so let me know the next time you're up and I'll swing in for socialness at the least.
wish I had the time to travel north with you guys! I've been jonesin' to ride 207 for a while.
hit up Oxford instead, what a gorgeous Fall day, clocked 26mi... yes, i'm pretty sure i'm in for the Jack Frost Run. sounds fun!

What is this Jack Frost Run like? Is it a race? How long?
from what gregp posted, just sounds like a fun ride day. no race. Oxford has a great mix of terrain.

Ok I'm in for that. Do we pre register?

Basically, if you are not a NETRA member - just arrive, pay your $25, and have some fun! This will be a family event, so be careful, and respectful. There will be separate loops set up for various rider abilities (usually well arrowed).
FWIW - I have been in and out of NETRA over the past 40 years, and now that my kids are all grown up, I am looking to re-join and participate more than I have been able to in the past.
Mass registration required I assume?

Sound is way off, which really kinda ruins it to be honest. Lots to learn but I was pumped with my progress in just one day. I definitely suggest putting it into HD. Also, don’t mind the fast guys who just blow by me and clear ALL the jumps. At one point in the day I cleared all but two jumps…the huge table at 0:57 and the double at 1:20 which I never ever tried hitting. I didn't put the go-pro on til the end of the day, I was getting tired and hadn't got sent to the hospital yet. Regardless, I'm very happy with my riding, looking to do a lot more of it now.

You should have heard my wife the first time she noticed someone properly nailing the back tabletop.![]()
I stood out back there for awhile watching, and you knew well before the corner leading if the guy was going to make it, you really needed to rail through that thing. God damn that's gotta be nearly 100 feet to the small sweet spot. Luckily not too much of a penalty if you don't make it.

track looks so fun.
