Wow that's some advanced shit!
Look into the power valve if you think it's a lot tamer than mine. While it's not supposed to be adjustable, I remember the guy I bought it from (Pete Tanner at Razee's) saying there was some adjustability there by changing springs or something? I remember reading a lot of enduro guys try to soften the hit a bit
Yamaha
^ common on some Husky's too. different springs will move the powerband or hit in either direction. (sooner / later)

BTW, coming over the pipe requires some good corner speed. It's not really a beginner thing... In that case, I'd try riding the clutch with the revs up and just a little power to the ground until you are pointed out of the corner, then ease it out to go.
Either way, higher revs are your friend.
If I could own a hare scramble only bike, it'd be the 200, recluse, tuned up high. I found quickly on yours you've gotta keep it spun up, but it falls on its face pretty quick (I'm sure that's a jetting/exhaust thing).
The 300 is a better all arounder (for me, currently), I can sneak around a lot easier, because it can be ridden off the pipe.
So as a plated dirty, it's the way to go.

First TM vid at top of this page is from Cahiulla Creek. That track is steep, deep, and gnarly! Can't imagine riding it on a 125... !
Rode a YZ250F the other day after the whole summer/fall on a YZ250.. Wow the YZF felt sloooow. Was def 'easier' to ride fast but not nearly as fun. Don't think I've ever beat/revved out a 250F so much... Can't wait to rise 2st again.
cahiulla creek is a 2 hour drive from LBC...I wanna try!!!
as always - if any of you guys want to fly out to LAX, or Long Beach airport, I'll pick ya up in the BMW, you have a futon to crash on, a 96 CR125 to ride w' an '01 F150 to get you to the MX tracks, and an FZR600 to carve some cool canyons!

such crisp sound...as borat would say, "very naaaaice!"
again, great riding...on the pipe all the way through a chicane!
and although sandy, that looks like a cool little woods track!
So...these smoke machines are cool again?
Time for a 250 4t.
