My god. I'm making anyone who asks to ride my 250 watch that video to truly appreciate it. Screw getting my race bike together, who wants to ride trails this weekend?!
A man of many names...Jay, Gennaro, Gerry, etc.
I got a complete Keihin PWK airstriker 38mm from JD Jetting quickly if that's any help.
PWK was going to be my first go to, but JD Jetting wouldn't talk to me once I mentioned the bike I had? Then the siren song of the APT lulled me in...
Fack it, I'm DFI'ing this pig!![]()
that's a bummer, Kurlon. i was looking forward to checking that thing out.
another vote for the PWK, grab it.

I vote for PWK. I have a 38mm airstriker on my CR500; excellent upgrade over the stock PJ 38.
If your buying a Lectron, wouldn't you only need a 36mm anyways? I know the Beta 300 and some of the other euros prefer a 36mm, even with the PWK.
Based on APT's recommendations, I could go for a 36 or 38. The bike has a Mikuni 36 on it currently. It'll happily pull a Leccy/APT 38 like a modern 250 opening up power across the board, going with a 36 should fatten up the bottom end. One challenge I've got is the old Mikuni is a looooong carb. The APT is actually shorter, a PWK is much MUCH shorter. I have a YZ intake boot that should help some, but I dunno if it'll be enough to allow a PWK in.
the Lectron may fit better, it's kinda long. they started trimming 3mm off for the Huskys but maybe the stock length would work for you.
no million year wait either![]()

When I was riding my YZ250, I always wished I had a 36 mm carb instead of the 38 mm. There was always a slight flat spot in the lower mid-range that I couldn't fully tune out. It shows on all the dyno charts I've seen for a YZ250 and continues to this day. There are still threads on TT talking about dialing that out. One guys claims he got a slight improvement by changing the slide from a 7 to an 8 or 9.
If I still had that bike I would be all over the Lectron 36.
IIRC, the pwk seemed to help out my RM a ton, but they weren't universal between bikes...I had to go through a couple different carbs before I finally got one that fit my RM (and it just came out of a different year RM) - did they make a pwk for a different year yamaha 250?
TM 125 takes on some 450's You've just got to love the 2 stroke line on the 2nd corner

"Y'all see this thing back here? It's called a berm. While you all stop, signal, and then ease back onto the track I'll just be railing this thing, ok?"

I like the bike, but the camera angle is terrible. This is what it should look like.
I wish we had a track like this too.
McGrath just popped in my office. We started talking MX and 2strokes. He said he's building 3 right now and plans to start ripping on them again for fun. I WANT TO SEE MC ON 2STROKES VIDEO!!!!
How about Robby Marshall making the main event at the Muddy Creek MX races last weekend on a two stroke. Was hoping to see some of him on the broadcast but he got taken out in a Canard crash. Anyone hear anything about if he is OK after that crash?
