Last night at about midnight I had my second crash this year. Second one that wasnt my fault too. The first one some idiot hit and ran me, and then last night some guy on a ducati tboned me leaving newbury street.
I was in the left lane taking a left at the light my friend was next to me on the left hand side. I proceeded to take the left hand turn and as I was doing so a guy on a ducati was coming up straight and went to the around my friend and hit me just as I was about halfway through the turn. All I saw was a headlight and then felt the hit. Flew off my bike and went down in the middle of mass ave. The guy on the ducati was able to keep his bike up because he directed all his speed onto me and my bike and glanced off me.
My bike is frigged up pretty bad the whole front is gone, fairing stay broken forks scratched, side fairing ruined, etc etc. My friends said he was going about 30-40 when he hit me. Im a hurting unit today but Ill be ok no broken bones I dont think going to the hospital after work today.
These 2005 GSXR's 1000's blow apart when your in an accident. After the hospital tonight I get to fill out my insurance report and start dealing with all that stuff now... so much fun. All I can say is at least it was september 20 and not July 20 now I dont have to garage the bike over the winter and I get myself a new 2006 GSXR and the guys insurance is paying for all my equipment he messed up.
Just felt like sharing have a good day.
fuckin dude... that SUCKS. I try to stay away from those guys on Newburry & Lansdown, they tend to do stupid shit, but T-bone you??? that's a new one.
The guy didn't happen to be on a black '05 999 w/ blue neons, was he? If so, i've talked to the guy a couple times... it's his first bikei've got a great story bout him gettin his balls BUSTED HARD by Deb (yamahahottie)
Good luck w/ everything.

Good luck man... stay out of that area at night next year. It's dangerous as hell.
Nah it was an older yellow 748 driven by a guy I would guess was in his late 20's early 30's. It was a full blow tbone I would say I was probably at 3/4 of the way through the left hand turn I was making when he smashed into me. He was able to hit me and stay up because he glanced off but I just flew and tumbled. The guys knee was pretty banged up from where he gauged it on my bike.Originally posted by OreoGaborio

All I can say is GEAR WORKS. The funny thing is before I left to drive home some girl was like can I wear your jacket Im cold. I showed her the marks on my jacket from my first accident this summer and was like jackets save your skin, sorry you cant wear it. After the guy hit me she was like good thing you had your jacket on huh.
Isnt that the valet at the capital grill? There is always one there.
Arguing on the internet is like winning a gold medal in the special olympics......whether you win or lose you are still retarded!
Whoa that was you? I was leaving the Pour House last night with some friends and I stopped to admire some bikes. As I'm checking out the 94 VFR and a new GSXR750 these two girls come out of Foggy Google and start telling me how those are their bikes. I asked why I saw 2 guys sitting inside with 4 helmets and they said "they are drunk, we are riding them around" and then told me how one of their buddies just got in a bad accident on Newbury St. Some guy t-boned him on another bike.
Guess that was you. Sorry to hear that.
Boston --> San Diego
The assbag who hit me just called my house saying "I dont want to get you in trouble and get YOU a ticket so I was seeing if you want to forget about reporting it" He basically said he is going to say I was in the right lane trying to make an illegal left and I hit HIM.
You didnt by any chance see the accident. I have a bunch of witnesses already but the more the better.
No I didn't see it, I was at Pour House, sorry bout that.
Boston --> San Diego
Its cool man thanks. I refuse to get surcharged because some loser wants to make up stories. I have about 6 people who were riding with me as well as the girls on the back of the bikes. I think I should be all right
man !
Be glad that wasn't a car ! 30-40 MPH !
Yikes, you coulda been a cold stiff.
I wouldn't worry about this guy and his
story... you got the witnesses, he's toast!
File the police report right away.
Can I do it the day after? Does it matter? should i get the witnesses names first and then go to the police?
You should do it right away. Yes put the witnesses names on any document you can get.
I was in a situation in a car where this a-hole basically purposefully hit me cause he thought I was cutting him off. We stop and get going good
with the profanity... well I'm with my kids and decide that this was starting to escalate a bit too much for my kids to have to watch. So I get his plate number and I politely say I have to go. Never got his name. Anyway as I drive away I see he's talking to people waiting at a bus stop trying to sell his story... Man was I pissed. It was in my opinion obvious that he hit me.
Anyway I filed a police report later that day exactly as I saw it trying to be as honest as possible. The insurance adjusters bought my story over theirs. Someone at my insurance company got me their name and address, which I guess in not regular procedure (due to privacy laws) Cut a long story short I got a check from his insurance company for the estimated repairs. The well written description with street diagrams was everything I think.
Next time I get in an accident I'm gonna be better about getting witnesses's names and #.
But I think the person going straight has the right of way... so his speed is the critical thing in your favor. good luck
Follow the above advice ASAP (get names on any and every police document you can).
yellow Ducati? Nazo, didn't I see you on Newbury last night? hmm....

Things that make you go hmmmm
Quick update. I have the names and contact info of 6 of the people who witnessed the accident with possibly 3 or 4 more if they really need it. I have not filed a police report yet, I will do so this evening. I spent all last night at the ER getting my leg, side and back checked out to make sure there was no damage. I will be putting in my verbal description of the accident today after work and submitting my written one monday.Originally posted by akira700

I hope I am able to nail this little weasle to the wall.
Report it now!!!
What you want to do with the other guy is to kind of "string him along" though... Be wishy/washy and say your not sure, blah blah blah...
Meanwhile your claim is being processed. When they call him he'll be all kinds of flustered and supprisedIf he tries to make up a story then he'll blow it. Nevermind the fact they will ask why he hasn't filed a report yet

I still love the smell of burnt racing fuel in the morning!
that sux and sorry about the incident.
i don't quite understand how this work. he was going straight and hit you while you're turning but it was his fault? i thought the person going straight has the right of way. i don't mean to to.... what's the word.![]()
"fuckit!"
When the person who hits you hits you because, they are in the same lane as you and try to pass you by flying up on the left past the two people in the front and then trying to go stright while I was already in the turn. I would call that their fault.
People on Ducatis just can't ride!!!
Oh, they think they can! BUT they can't!

if i remembered correctly the adjuster told me it depends on where you got hit. if it's rear end then it's their fault. if on the side it's not. that's all i know.Originally posted by xxdcmast

Kham, if i read this right he got hit from behind... getting hit from behind is getting hit from behind... it's the prick's fault. Not to mention this fucknut spit the lane w/ two other bikes while T-boning him.Originally posted by Kham
