Lifted this from another forum. Not sure if it's a repost, as I've never seen it.

Whole bunch of idiots there. Perfect example of target fixation with his buddy almost following him. Looks like Deal's Gap.
derek
That was the consensus on the other forum as well.Looks like Deal's Gap.
Wow, nice job dude

nice to see the biker image is alive and well
One hell of a lean angle he had going on.
Love the pussy's quote in the truck. "Dude, they're going to kick our asses." What the hell did they do?

It's the gap of course.
You never know, some people have a bad atitude, blame anyone but themselves.
It's all water under the bridge, and we do enter the next round-robin. Am I wrong?
hahahaha, i'm sorry, but the comentary in the vid is a friggin riot.
Wonder how far he went down.

I don't know if it's the same guy or not. The cliffs there are steep, and that turn looks like it could be about 1/4 way up.
BULLETIN: A 39 year old motorcycle rider from Maryland lost his life on the Dragon Thursday morning June 15. The accident occurred at about mile marker 3.5 when the northbound rider went off the road and struck a tree. This is the first death on the Dragon in 2006. Please ride safe so it is the only one this year.
It's all water under the bridge, and we do enter the next round-robin. Am I wrong?
Yup, that was deals. No mistakin it.
I love passing around blind corners too fast without adequate skills, it's all sorts of fun.
You guys really think that was the guy who died?

1982 Honda CB750F Super Sport
shit, if that guy bought it, we really should not be laughing at him. i'd like to think i'd never do something that stupid, but.....![]()
I don't know. I'm just taking a guess. You know how some of those cliffs just drop, and it looks like that 1000lb bike was tumbling right on top of him. he is going north, not sure if that's around the 3.5.
I'm mostly pointing out that it's not a laughing matter, regardless of bad judgement.
It's all water under the bridge, and we do enter the next round-robin. Am I wrong?
Yeah, I just couldn't believe both the choice to pass, and the outcome.
These videos are constant reminders that all it takes is a second of stupidy to scew things up in a hurry.
Yeah, that was pretty stupid.
Oh right, I'd also like to point out his excellent use of the rear brake.

I know a little about everything, and alot about nothing.
No, that was not the person that died on June 15th.
I was there the week before ... it was some guy with a R1
I believe.... positive it was a Yamaha sport bike.
Not a cruiser.
Accidents like that are very common on the Gap.
If no one gets hurt or just get banged up, the pickups come
out and pick them up and they disappear.
I was warned that if there will be an insurance claim, personal injury or police/fire rescue activity, to not pick up the bike with
my truck as it is a crime and will get ticketed.
I'd say that Harley is now where it belongs.....
At the bottom of a cliff.
I Don't wish harm on the rider though.
Since it wasn't the guy who died, everyone back to their laughing!

LOL..HAHAHAHA....
Back to riding school for him!
What else could you do if you were the rider?
Once he got to the point where he was too far over going way too fast, was there anything he could do besides nail the brakes and/or bail?
Otherwise, towards the end you could hear the fairy-boy say "I can see a bi-eek raight they-arrr." So I don't think that drop off was entirely too steep and I'm sure the rider survived.
Lean the bike and make it turn, instead of just going straight like that asshat did....

I suspect he was just overwhelemed with the way 65 HP on an 800lb bike can accelerate. He was lucky just to survive the G-force.
Great find!

It's all in the torque, man!
How could he have avoided that situation? By not f'n passing trucks in corners.

Wait a freaking minute ... just what in the hell is wrong with this picture?
All of youse that have been at the Dragon ... curves are where the fuckers slow down and straights are where they speed up so you can't pass them .... right?
So WTF is he doing passing on a curve?
