The 1/16 punch is ~1.5mm. I'll throw it in my box and you're more than welcome to give it a try.
Jumping in this thread a little late...
Clips aren't legal everywhere? I have them on nearly everything I use regularly (including front brakes, makes tire changes much faster). I passed tech last October, but I think that might've been the "He's from Canada, just let him through" tech inspection.
Anyone up for splitting a garage? I have yet to find a home for Round 1, and I'm getting kind of nervous. Who's going down for the Thursday practice? If everything's in order I should be rolling out of CT Wednesday afternoon
does anyone have a case from the older qstar i can borrow?
i think you were the one i chatted with last year. we'll have a spot open if you wanted to buy it. dont know the cost, but it's around $40 i think.
and no, clips arent LRRS legal, but they're CCS legal.
most people just use clips on the rear axle only...maybe a radiator cap.
I might have take you up on that. Yes, I was the one on the orange/black ZX6R pitting with Sam.
Sounds like I'll have to do some re-wiring. I have clips on all filler caps, oil filter, both axles, pinch bolts, and front brake. Lol they are just so much easier to use, and the bolts still will never come out.

I've never used it but Summit Racing sell their own line of glycol-free coolants:
$26/gal.
yea when i flushed my coolant it was blue - i think it might have been this in there but i didn't want to guess on that one - next time as the wetter is in already.
i wasn't too aware of the pins needing to be safety wired but i assume a precaution doesn't hurt.
Not terrible but the rear caliper bolts are still wired so there's tension in the loosening direction.

I've heard them too, but there are TWO clips on the inside of the retaining pin that have to come off, and then the pin has to rattle out. I just put a gob of silicone on both sides of the caliper where the pin holes are and I'm done with it. Just make sure your retaining clips are on everytime.
Going to fire up the wood stove tonight so I can change tires...no sunshine ftl.

So if we pre-registered, do we need to do anything at the track other than go through tech?
Also, Is there some deal about gate fees and pre-registering?
