So I got an invite to NJMP from 699 for the NESBA event. Could you race a Motard around there. I happen to have that weekend off.
Is it on lightning or thunderbolt?

I have only seen Aprilia SV 550's there. Both courses.
na doesn't matter, I just looked at my calendar and I have to work
Bummer, I love riding my motard on thunderbolt. Granted I have a 690, but I have ridden Graham's 560 there and it did fine... minus the straight. You come through the kink at about top speed, so there's nothing left as far as acceleration goes. Just tuck in and take a break.
My 690 keeps accelerating to the brake marker.
THe rest of the track, is perfect for a motard. You can really take advantage of the cornerspeed these bikes can carry.
Does NESBA still hate tards?

I was kinda thinking exactly that. if you keep it off the rev-limiter down the straight why would it be bad for a 'tard?
I was planning on letting a friend do a tony's day on my 450smr there next season as his first trackday. would it really blow up if it's not left sitting on the limiter forever?

Great to hear. any thoughts on gearing? It's set for loudon at the moment.Originally Posted by Paul_E_D

Well, I don't know what set for loudon means, but I'm at 15/42 and it works for both tracks. I don't use sixth at loudon though. I'd say gear it for 105mph. That's where most motards just hit a brick wall regardless of gearing. You could try going taller, but I doubt the bike will pull it.

lol i wish it could happen like that
just quit, that will teach them
Your doing over a hundred before you hit the straight. I blew my head gasket riding one session on my motard there, I can't imagine racing it.
They should just use the go kart track for those races. I'd go for that.
