First Amauter weekend!

Well, Friday morning my Mechanic friend Kevin, was helping me with the wiring harness that I brutally destroyed with my own two hands. He said to me... "Sorry, it can't be finished before Sunday."



I almost cried and was pissed off at myself. At that point, I figured I'd try and make the best out of the weekend. SO went and rode MX Saturday at MX101. Which was AWESOME! Then said what the hell I am going to Loudon to see some friends and enjoy the night. Besides it being crazy cold it was an FANTASTIC night!! Had couple people offer their bikes to me. Thank you to those people!!

But in the end decided to ride Clarkie's SICK motard!!


Went home that night, to really debate if I wanted to empty out my bank account tomorrow.... What a dumb thought. OF COURSE I DID! Couldn't sleep that night, at all. WAY too excited. A weekend where it started out that I knew I wasn't going to race to, I am waking up tomorrow morning and I am going racing! I felt like a kid waiting for Christmas again.

7:30am the next morning in Registration, I got a wonder surprise. LRRS had bumped me to AM. For a second, I was a little bummed, I wanted to earn my bump, but HELL I'll take it!

Went out in 2nd practice...three laps in I started to feel good and comfortable on the bike... fourth lap in, T1 felt wicked good.. T1A on the ground just like that. Thank god for Motards and their unbreakable parts. The bike was fine but It was weird not having to panic and fix the bike before the racing started.

Luckily, Sweeney gave me some good advice that helped a lot during the race. Thanks Sweeney! Entered in LW sportsman, best part I got to race against DDK It was a fun race DAN!! Too bad it got red flagged for the second time. I wanted to battle!!
As the second red flagged waved and they pulled us into the pits. I realized that I just won my first race of the season and first Amuater race too!!!
EPIC!

It was so far the best weekend of 2012!!
A HUGE thanks to Clarkie for letting me race and crash his bike
Sweeney for following me around until I got on the track. If I needed to shut the bike off for any reason, I wouldn't be able to kick over the 450 at all!
And to everyone in TURN ONE PIT!!! It was a great weekend!

Ha, yup! New leathers... That fit, New arai helmet, bran spanking new boots and the gloves should be coming soon. Feels good to have everything fit!
