Hi My friend Jes just got a new to her bike and her liscence! She needs tires or take off that will be good enough to finish this season up for riding.... she plans on buying new tires next season... anyone have a lead.
im still have his pilot powers?
Corey
I am not sure a take off compound is good as a street tire this late in the season. They tend to not heat up as quick as a DOT and may be a little different for a newer rider.

For an sv Scottie?
Worse case, I can do a new set of 160/120 street tires Pirelli Diablo Rosso for $268 this month.
or a Dunlop Sportmax Q2 120/160 set for $258

180 or 190?
sv needs 160 rear on a stock wheel.
For routine street riding, I take it?
I have the OEM Dunlop takeoff (D220 SportMax) from the 08 SV650S I bought, replaced by the Pirelli Diablo Rossos. They have 1,500 miles on them. I was planning to sell them and donate 100% of proceeds to the Lowell police officer killed by a drunk while riding. But hadn't determined a fair price: please feel free to advise. Pic below.
I'll be driving to Loudon tomorrow night for TTD days and can bring them for inspection/purchase. Pay me and I'll write a check on the spot to the Johnson Family Fund.

Don't have the slightest idea what they are worth. Someone pipe up: it's all going to the charity anyway.
Seems like they sell for something over $200 a set new, so is $100 a fair price?
I'm leaving at 1pm today for a football game and then to go to NHMS. I'll be back Tuesday night.

Doc, the take offs shes looking for arent race take offs. Basically typical scenario, person buys a new or used bike and it doesnt have their favorite brand of tires on it so they replace them and have the old set still hanging around and are looking to get rid of them. $100 for those look like a pretty good deal and the money going to charity is great. When I get back home at the end of next week I am heading over to donate some to that fund as well.

Loun, When I hear "Take offs" I think race take offs. OEM take offs would be fine.

if she's still looking, I got 6 trackdays on the Pilot Powers on my SV and I'm slapping new rubber on by the end of the month tops, the sides are fairly worn but still legal while the center is pretty much brand new still
