Just a heads up on what these days are all about. Penguin runs Ducati Revs NE on July 11th at NHMS and Ducati Revs NJ on August 15th at NJMP. The events are open to riders on all brands of motorcycle. These days are effectively an expanded version of the Penguin Track Experience. All groups have passing restrictions (ranging from very moderate to very controlled) and riders are broken up by experience levels / speed to ensure comfort.
These days typically have excellent turnouts and the quality of the riders who participate is very high. These are guys who are out to learn and enjoy the track and who do not want to fall down. Riders on these days generally make very good decisions on the track.
Penguin also typically incorporates additional features to these events - sometimes there are special guests to interact with students, other times we have available an optional special drills area in the pits to work on specific skills. Door prizes have been given away each season as well.
So, if you are looking for a day of personalized instruction with Penguin's top instructors on a track filled with other quality riders, come check out these days - you won't be disappointed!
I've had a couple requests, so to make things simple...the link to the registration pages are below:
Here for July 11th at NHMS
Here for August 15th at NJMP
Here for October 10th at Barber
Any dealers who want to get involved in this program, give us a call at 978-400-8204. We have a few different ways that you can participate in this event, solidify customer relationships and have a great time to boot!
For those looking for something a little extra, we are bringing our mini moto bike to this event this year....usually only brought out during the two day school, this little bike is a ton of fun and can really teach riders the importance of proper body position and scanning ahead.
Its used for a drill in the paddock....
not on the racetrack.
Ducati Revs NJ was an excellent event last year (and extremely HOT!).
Last year included AMA pros ripping fast laps (with commentary by Eric), track walk with Shane Narbonne and Mike Himmelsbach, lunch with Eraldo Ferracci, Doug Polen, Larry Pegram, and others, Duc Truck, raffles, etc.
Damn good time and highly recommended! If it's as hot as last year, bring one of those dryer hangers for your leathers (or buy from RSC / S&C). We were soaking through after 1-2 sessions...gross.

does this event qualify as a class towards a race license?
These events are not set up for getting a race license. In order to qualify for a race license, we need practices that have no passing limitations (so that you can operate in these conditions while on the track). The Ducati Revs days have some limitations in all groups - very wide margin in the A group, normal track day courtesy in B and reasonable restrictions in C (basically taking no chances - when in doubt, wait til next corner).
This is not to say that the race passing rules are not safe - only that we go an extra measure to be sure that everyone is comfortable at these days, making it not a true representation of racing. We have licensing schools on July 22 and August 19th - both reasonably close to the July 11 and August 15 dates of these events.

I did a Revs day a few years back on the 848 and it was a blast. And I've already signed up for the 11th, I can't wait!!
