Motorcycle Scavenger Hunt

PhatPhat33 posted up some pics and said he had been doing a motorcycle scavenger hunt.

I was thinking this could be cool.

I have never done one but I figure we give points to different things and I am sure we could get better ideas from the web.

We could do a $1, $5, or some such amount buy in, have it go for the whole summer and whoever gets the most points wins and gets the pot.

You have to post your pics with your bike in front of the object/landmark to earn points (or will that take up to much server space?)

What does everyone think? Ideas?

1. Town that’s same name as a country (50 each)

2. Same name town in each state, photo of each town needed ( 25 for 1st pair, 50 for each after)
Example would be Boston MA & Boston ME =25points
then Boston CT = 50 points

Isn't the whole idea of a hunt not to give out the list ahead of time so people can't already plan their ride or take advance pictures?

The OSJ Scavenger Hunt started back in May and ends on Dec 31st. Besides this list, there are monthly bonus pictures. So far, only one person has posted to have been to every place on the list. I'm sure a few sandbaggers will post up in the next few weeks with more photos. To get all of the photos, you'll have to do some planning. They are all over New England. Also, some have more than one answer. You could ride around and get 50 dams, but some other person might get 300 dams. That's how the points will be different for everyone.

that sounds like fun. maybe we should come up with our own and start it in jan or feb. that will give us all winter to prepare and all summer to do it

Definately we should make it more NESR specific.

Maybe if people thought of spots off the beaten path throughout New England (gotta make it fair for people In the great white North)

I was thinking more like April-November.

Change the point values also. Some of the easy ones had a high point value and difficult ones, like the border crossing and easternmost point were more difficult.
