I use the mobile theme on my phone (Nexus 5x running Android 7.1.1). When I go to the dot dot dot menu and tap "What's New?" (which is how I normally browse threads) I get an error. The header says "The following errors occured with your search" and the body says "Please add more constraints to your search. Searches that return all or most of the database are a bad idea."
While true, this message is also unhelpful. I didn't set up the search and am not in charge of the search parameters.
It is very possible that I'm the only one who uses this.

I encountered this same problem and I realized that the click mapping is slightly offset. Try tapping slightly to the left of the what's new icon.
Also, if you tap and hold you can see what is getting highlighted. This is how I discovered the offset mapping.
:golfclap: Well done. Your are correct. 10 Internet points for you.
There's nothing really to "see". It's invisible
Crappy sideways video demonstrates the issue. When I click on What's New, look for "search" to highlight up at the top. When I (long) press to the left of the "What's New" button I get a standard hyperlink menu, which opens the what's new page.
Thanks, that's what I needed. I think it (the fact that I couldn't reproduce it) may be due to the header notification icon I had in my screen grab but now that it's gone I get the same behavior you're seeing. Not sure I can fix it but I'll poke around to see if there's any good fix for this.

Thanks for taking a look. If you can't fix it that's not the end of the world.
I just have to remember to click not on the "icon".
I'm going to send you a PM - do me a favor and while the yellow notification icon is still in the header, see if clicking what's new is still acting bullshit for you. So far that's the only difference I can see between my initial test when it wasn't doing it, and the later test when it was. If it's confirmed on your device as well then I've got some good/specific info to toss at vBulletin support.
