I've been on this forum for a while, joined when I live in Portland, Maine. Then I moved near New Orleans for 4 years. The riding sucked down there! The only lean I got was the highway on ramps! And it is so friggin hot and humid 9 months of the year!
Anyways, I'm back in CT now, used to live in Pawcatuck back in 2006, but am now in Gales Ferry. Still enjoying riding my '08 Sprint around and loving the riding here MUCH more than in Lousyanna!

Caddy, interesting about the riding in N.O.....Is the whole state of LA like that? What about southern Mississippi? Did you explore the surrounding radius at all? I definitely agree that riding in constant humidity must be a PITA while riding....lol.

It's nicer if you get out of the area and go North or West, but the New Orleans area isn't that nice for riding. Since I lived and worked there, most of my time riding was there. It's just here in CT, I only have to leave my driveway to be in some gorgeous riding areas, instead of down there where I'd have to ride an hour to get to decent roads!
I did get in a ride good long ride going from New Orleans to Virginia. That was an awesome trip!
