Finally back on two after 25 years and loving the whole 'getting used to it' thing again. The muscle memory is there but at almost 62, the balance needs a little polishing. Picked up a nice '83 GS 750E and have a nice bike to everyday and restore in winter. Look forward to seeing NE riders in the twisties someday.

Nice a 1986 Yamaha FJ1200! How was that?

It was like riding a locomotive. Stable as heck on the highway and brutal acceleration when you bent your arm.
Welcome!
I have a rear wheel, cush drive, sprocket, and rotor for that bike taking up space. Yours for the price of Free.99
Nice. I'll have to hit you up. Got to start my collection of spares.
You’ve got one of my favorite bikes……Big following of them…..Are you on Thegsresources.com forum?
I really love my old ‘79 GS850……have had it for about 15 years. There’s a bunch of us GS owners in the Northeast.
2004 SV650
1979 GS 850GN
2005 Tt-r125
NEMRR #246 - Woodcraft / Armour Bodies / Hindle Exhaust / Central Mass Powersports
The ES's are what got me interested in switching from dirt to street when I was a teenager. A kid I knew bought an E, his buddy bought the ES. The first time I saw them, I knew I'd be riding on the street someday.
Did you grit your teeth and try to look like Clint Fuckin' Eastwood?
Or did you lisp it all hangfisted like a fuckin' flower?
Dammit well I hate to admit it but when he typed 83 gs750 I didn’t immediately know if he meant bmw or Suzuki til I googled it.
I think I may have thought the only Suzuki GS was the 500![]()

Oh, and AnotherGeezer? I'm guessing you didn't grow up in Manchghanistan. I don't know a single soul who grew up here ever call it ManchVegas.![]()

The name came from raids conducted in the late 80's & early 90's to stem the use of gambling machines in which owners of small clubs, pizza joints, etc., were actually paying out winnings. They made a HUGE to-do about something very small scale, and the name originated as more of a poke at law enforcement at the time.
Just about every apartment I lived in as a teen was on "da west side dere yoo, eh".
