Hi everyone. It seems a lot of motorcycle forums are full of nonsense. But, lurking over here on NESR makes me think this one is different. So I figured I would introduce myself.
I have been riding for 6 years rain, cold, or shine. Most recently I got rid of my 07 DRZ 400 SM to get an 07 Yamaha R6. It's mildly modded w/ a slip on, levers and sliders. It wasn't exactly what I was looking for but I'm falling in love with it. It's my first "supersport" but I feel very comfortable on it. But, there is no where to come close to trying it's limits on the street around here. With my Sumo I could get into a gated dump access road and really goof off with the bike. But, there no where to really get illegal safely (oxymoron?) with the R6.
So now more than ever I want to hit the track. I'd still say I'm a very novice rider having no 2 wheeled track experience but, I'd love to find out more about it and start beating up my new toy.

There are lots of great track day organizations and lots of great information available to you. Check out my signature and feel free to ask questions.
I did go to that sight. It seems like that tonys would be the best bet. I'm slightly reluctant because I don't have a trailer or truck to get get the bike there. So, it would be a long ride home. I'm looking to pick up a small trailer that I can tow with my car now though.
from the same area no need to worry about getting bike to track talk to DEGSY he picks my bike up at my house and transports to the track for cheap money
