Riding in Albany/Schenectady is very much an experience of defensive riding techniques!!! Crap, do I have a friggin' bullseye on my chest and back? The damn ZX-14 is huge, with monster lighting, but nooooo, of course the cages just don't "see" us.

Dude, I grew up in Cambridge NY -- family all over those parts. I know the USN facility of which you speak. (If I told you anymore, I'd have to kill ya. (JK!)) Just came back from thanksgiving over there.

Drive safe -- they're not conscious of MCs over there at all. NH has the highest ratio of MC per capita in the US, so it's A LITTLE nicer. Be well.

No matter where you go it is the same. I had to bend in a couple of mirrors on the way home yesterday.

Guys, gotta' say, for a long while I've ridden alone. My soon to be ex-wife (caught her cheating) never let me reach out to friends or trust that going for a ride was just that...a ride on the bike. I'm so damn happy to find a community of good guys (and girls) that are like minded. Can't wait to meet some of you in person. Thanks, again, for welcoming me.

Damn straight, ya'll. Although, my ex and I were blessed with an infant that we adopted. Logan's two and half now...and he's my prince and love of my life. The Lord and my son sustain me. And like I tell my wife every time she walks past the '14 and stares at it, "I love that damn bike"!
