Welcome, Marty.
You are just in time for Silly Season on the forum. Started a bit early this year, what with that October snow squall and all but what can ya do?
Enjoy!
I ride a 2003 kawi 636 with some basics, integrated tail light, yoshi rs-3 slip on cut in half, adjustable clutch and hand brake, flush mounts
On deck for the winter:
07 swingarm, 05 rims, nissin front calipers, pinebox exhaust, powder coat frame black
Help is always welcome! I am pretty mechanically savvy but an extra hand is always useful.
Looking forward to meeting people and having a good time!
What are you doing with your 03 rims and swingarm?
wellll...what would you like me to do with them??![]()
Welcome MartyK!
i knew that was coming haha. i was planning on selling them not sure on price yet, i still have to get them off the bike. i will probably be keeping the rotors as i will be needing them with the new rim, just keep bugging me thru email: martinkinsman@yahoo.com and maybe we will be able to make something work,, unless you had anything to trade
welcome
Marty go back to stripping your threads! Mechanically savy my ass!!!

Wanted the rotors as well for quick swaps at the track but let me know anyway. Fyi I would spend the money on galfer pads and lines for the front that's what I did and I stoppie into t3 all day.
thanks for piping in billy, thought you ernt on here anymore haha
i dont have the money now for the galfer and lines, already got a good deal on nissin calipers so was just going to use the stock rotors for now but if i get my hands on 05+ then ill let the rotors go
and only thing i stripped was the oil drain plug....no big deal
Gotcha, I have a set of slightly used hh pads if you are interested.
might be, new rims will be in by end of week. Just need to get a front and rear motorcycle stand and i will be getting the the 03 rims off
any suggestions on the lower cost side? found a few on fleabay for just under 100 a pair shipped
I dont but from time to time i'll hop on really quick to see whats going on. If there's a thread worth contributing to I will. When I saw your screen name and that you were from Norwood I knew it was you so I had to crack some jokes!
You'll def meet some cool peeps in your area and go on some fun rides in the spring/summer/fall. You came on board towards the end of the riding season (for most people) so there might not be a whole lot of activity going on here for group rides. Come spring this place should be lighting up with rides.
I'm actually out riding still, went on a Vanilla Bean run this past Sunday with some beemer riding club (not really my crowd but wanted to ride). If you didn't have a completely opposite schedule then me I'd ride with you since i'm still close to Norwood.

i have a completley opposite schedule then anyone! worst riding schedule everrrr, weekend overnights blows, but the shift differential is good at least, and keeps me outta the bars...except for weekdays
