Hello everyone,
I completed my MSF course last weekend and bought a Honda F3 this past Monday. I'll be getting it in a week... I also just set-up my insurance today and I'll be paying $136 per year, including comprehensive and pretty high liability coverage since I just transferred over my car policy to the bike (I may lower it since I don't think it's physically possible to do 300k in damages with a bike)...
The MSF course was awesome- by the end of it I couldn't wait to get on a bigger bike, so I think the F3 was a good choice. I can't wait to ride my new bike and eventually get some track time...
This forum seems like a great resource to meet people in the area, find some nice roads, and get on the track- so I'm looking forward to getting to know some people and learning a lot about my bike and riding (and having a good time of course...).

It was one of the first ones of the year... Saturday was pouring rain and freezing, but I really didn't pay attention to it. We moved quickly since there were only 6 people. Sunday was beautiful weather, just chilly- but it was great.
I have a question- does anyone ride their bikes to tony's track days? Is it really not a good idea or do some people do it (from MA)? It's 1.5 hrs away from my location...
Welcome!
I used to live in Wellesley Hills
Welcome! I live in Newton Center. I just put a deposit on an FZ6. I currently ride a Ninja 500.
weclome, I think 300,000 is a state minimum to insure.
Welcome to the forum, Nik!
Riding up to a track day is certainly doable & I used to do it back in the day after I got a couple of days under my belt, made some friends & knew exactly what to expect, but I can't really say it's a good idea for your first couple of track days. You're gonna be pretty exhausted at the end of the day & riding back home to Wellesley might be kinda tough.
Try & match up with someone w/ a truck or trailer. If ya can't do that & you have to ride up it might be a good idea to stay at the Red Roof down the road the night before. That'll make things a little easier for ya.

yeah no prob.... is it a churrascaria (brazilian bbq)?if i take you to my brasilian spot can you translate for me?
i have very good coverage... i guess i'll just keep what i have... my comprehensive coverage is pretty expensive relative to the whole plan ($30) and i have insurance against under-insured drivers in case of an accident.
thanks guys... im looking forward to the track days.
Bem vindo! A gente vai ter que fazer um "ride" para um rodizio.
Where do you go to school? I went to Babson. Was just on campus yesterday actually.
I agree with Oreo. I'm usually pretty exhausted after a track day, so riding home might not be fun...
