I hope it's true, but I will only be convinced of the viability of this technology when they announce it is meeting production goals. These "we are poised to start" stories are more often than not just hype to get investors interested.

Whatever happened to diesel fuel made from algae in sewage treatment plants? That was supposed to be the next big thing a few years ago.

When I look at who's running these firms, they're proven people so I expect them to deliver the goods (being so close to large scale production) so I'm optimistic. You're right though...hype has exceeded reality for decades in this space.

I'm running a natural gas F150 out here in CA, and it's cleaner burning than gasoline (check the oil after 6k miles and it's still golden light brown!), I fill it up at a CNG pump that's setup similar to a gasoline pump, it's made domestically, and the US stores are almost full!!
