That first one looks like he had something sticky on the stick to pick it up.

The Mike Legg goal looks more legit, he had to maneuver the stick a bit more to keep the puck on it.

aha, dude I did sprints for 20 minutes for doing that kinda shit just in practice.

Usually they call you for pulling the puck backwards wonder if they allowed that one :o

ah true... I've done similar shit from behind the net in beer leagues, but never on a penalty shot... that is technically an illegal move on a penalty shot.

It really only works for me when I take a dry waxed stick out... friction tape, or wet/icy tape don't work out as well...

you can tell the kid is a rink rat though, he didn't struggle too much with that.

O, I just meant when you are coming down toward goalie, like skating backwards the other way is not legal. Say if you stopped really quick, went back a few steps and then fired a goal

during a penalty shot, or shoot-out... the puck has to go from redline to goal line... down the ice towards the goalie... you cannot "pull back" on the puck, or do any dekes where the puck moves back towards center ice (side to side and forward only).

no idea... I bet people were trying to do wrap-arounds back in the day and they put a stop to it. (although there is a rule in effect that once the puck crosses the goal line, the shot is over)
