American Le Mans @ Lime rock.....anyone attended?

Posted this on Facebook, most feedback i got was a "like"

Its $66 a ticket if you pay by midnight tonight or $80 at the gate.

Anyone ever gone? I just wanna know if its worth going? Best spots to watch? Small details i will probably overlook.

    Thanks in advance.

I went probably 5-8 years ago. It was fun, those cars sound great...especially the vettes..

if you like watching racing you'll probably enjoy it

It's a good time. Worth the money and you can wander the pits too. I like the infield hill for a vantage point because you can see the action comming off the front straight and going into the only left hand corner on the track. Lots of action there.

Nice thing about Limerock is you can move around as much as you want. Pick a primary spot to set up chairs as a "home base" and wander to your hearts content. Bring a shit ton of water and beer but be VERY careful with speed etc.... on the roads around the track. The popular routes are heavily patrolled.

ALMS cars are a bit much for a track as rough and small as limerock, which makes for a lot of action. get there early and setup on the infield hill in the shade of one of the few trees. $80 seems very steep for an entry if you ask me. It is one of my favorite tracks in north America, and id be going if I was going to be around.

Entry fee should cover both days. It's been a few years since I've been, but it used to be a weekend pass.
