    My last place had no UPS or generator, happened on a regular basis too. Place I'm at now is connected to two seperate power grids with a switch that will flip over to the working grid if one goes down. On top of that we got a UPS and a generator. Yea we're never gonna lose power!

    I had 2 brown outs last night, I thought it was going to happen throughout the night like they were having rolling brown outs to help save power.

    It was 103-F in my girls cars thermometer yesterday on the way home from Haverhill.

    I'm sure it has some sort of variance but it is F-in hot out there!!!

    No brown out here yet, but I'm expecting it! When I pulled in my driveway and got out of the truck, i felt heat like I have never felt before. The AC has not shut off once in the house in the 1 1/2 hours I've been home, and the upstairs won't go below 80 with the stat set at 72.

    One quick look and I knew why....

    A brownout or sag is a drop in voltage in an electrical power supply. The term brownout comes from the dimming experienced by lighting when the voltage sags.
