One of my co-workers has a 7 year old son, who she just picked up from school. He got into trouble on the playground.

Here is his big offense: He was playing "Star Wars" with about 5 of his friends. This game involved pretending that they had those light saber thingies, and pretending to fight each other with them. This was all pretend - none of them was actually holding anything in their hands. They were all getting along fine, no one was fighting. Their teacher told them it was NOT OK to play with "weapons".

If he was my kid, I'd have told the teacher to go pound some sand up her ass.

if kids today tried to get away with the shit me and my friends did at that age they would be in jail. invisable light sabers? try three foot oak branchs. rock and acorn fights at recess and about once a week a good ol full contact football game on pavement. coming back to the classroom with a bloody nose ment you were cool and the teacher just gave you a kleenex and said hold your head back.

rock fights...getting lost inthe woods playing war....all day bike rides to differnt towns....

when I was in school, it was no problem bringing guns to school, quite often during hunting season we'd get on school bus in morning with a gun and walk home thru the woods after school

im beginning to think the word "liberal" is a bad word the way you brought this up.

as for the teacher, she must be into psychology. with the way things are happen these days, i think it's understandable but i don't think anyone should get in trouble for it. all she had to do is not let them play in shcool and inform the parents.

i don't know the whole story. if she did over react it would be like Bigred over react with liberal.
